Geography and environment

Peru has a diverse landscape that includes parts of the Amazon Basin, the Andes Mountains, and Lake Titicaca. Not to mention that areas such as savannas, deserts, cloud forests, and mangroves are concentrated in one country. Peru also has a long coastline along the Pacific Ocean, offering stunning ocean views.
Along the Pacific coast, you’ll find patches of desert and lush valleys, while the Andes run down the middle, creating a natural divide between the coast and the jungle. In the highlands you will find iconic sites like Machu Picchu, Cusco and Puno, each offering a unique mix of history, culture and stunning scenery.
