BE ACTIVE

Get closer to your destination by hiking, biking and staying active in a variety of ways. For some of us, vacations lose their meaning if they don’t have experiences that excite us.

Our Active trips are pulse-quickening experiences for those who enjoy traveling with a touch of adrenaline. You’ll still have plenty of opportunities to immerse yourself in the local culture, but the outdoor thrills of these trips raise the level of excitement. Are you ready to fly over the Nazca lines, hike the Inka trail to reach Machupicchu or sandboarding in the Paracas desert? Go active!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be fit for an active trip?

It is not essential to be an athlete, but a moderate level of fitness is required. Sometimes, our active trips will be challenging, and generally speaking, the fitter you are, the more you will enjoy them.

Most trips include two fundamental activities: hiking and cycling, which range from easy paths or flat ground rides to more demanding routes.

None of the tasks are excessively technical, and you won’t need any prior experience to participate in them. However, you will need basic skills such as riding a bicycle or minimal hiking experience.

Physical fitness varies between different trips, so check your trip itinerary to understand the level of physical activity required.

Although it’s not required, it’s a good idea to increase your strength and fitness in the days before the trip because some hikes take place over several days.

To achieve your goals, be truthful about your current situation and dedicate yourself to a training regimen. Walking more during your free time, going on a few longer bike rides each week, or increasing the amount of cardio and resistance training in your exercises are some examples.

Every activity is supervised by knowledgeable, experienced leaders or local guides who specialize in that activity. Our guides are passionate about the outdoors and dedicated to provide enjoyable but, most importantly, safe experiences, whether it’s cycling, trekking, stand-up paddle boarding, or kayaking.

Our top priority is safety. All of our activities, whether they are part of our offerings or are optional extras, are subject to safety evaluations. We undertake all of our safety assessments in accordance with our own safety standards and local laws.

For every activity, we give thorough safety instructions and typically give participants an opportunity to practice before starting the actual thing. To make sure the equipment satisfies safety regulations, we also conduct routine inspections.

We provide you the freedom to select the activities you want to partake in. Even though our travels include a lot, if you want some quiet, you may typically sit out. The same is true for optional activities; if you’re eager for an additional stroll, your leader will be pleased to guide you in the proper way.

Even though the tours’ main focus is on nature-based activities, we nevertheless include the same genuine cultural activities that make the trip unique. Getting active and exploring new locations are the main goals of these excursions, which also offer plenty of chances to engage with locals and explore their way of life.

No. Every piece of equipment will be supplied, including helmets and other safety gear. Nevertheless, we might advise bringing specific products, so it’s crucial to review the packing list in the itinerary information.

While you’re out conquering that mountain, we’ll move your primary luggage from point A to point B. For daily necessities (snacks, water bottle, phone, sunscreen, etc.), you will need a small backpack. To safeguard your valuables in the event of rain, you might also want to pack a dry bag.

Because our tours are active, you need to make sure you have the right kind of insurance before you leave. The majority of insurance companies will cover every activity we give, both optional and included ones.

When examining your insurance policy, keep an eye out for activities like high-altitude trekking (verify the precise height you’re covered for this particular trip)

We decided to book rooms in hotels in prime areas.

However, some of the activities we offer will take you far into the forest or up into the mountains while you hike the Inka Trail. You can stay in tents, homestay at Lake Titicaca, or camp in a desert with little amenities.

Our Tailor-Made staff can assist you if you have a destination in mind for a trip that isn’t on our list because we have the knowledge of different destinations to personalized your trip.

Responsible Travel

A maximum experience with a minimum impact.

Traveling responsibly is a win-win situation for you, the communities, and the places you visit.

When we travel, we spend our vacations at someone else’s house. Our vacations may have an effect on their environments, cultures, economies, and lifestyles. Respecting people and places is the right thing to do, and it opens up possibilities for a more authentic journey.

However, it can benefit the locals and provide you with far more enjoyable and pleasant vacations. In this way, we take care of our environment, where we just take out our experiences and leave our footprints. to leave the world safe so we can continue to live in harmony with the rest of the world.
